Frequently asked questions
My throws fall short, or fly way too far
Swing strength varies a lot between people, so the game calibrates once the first time you play. If it feels wrong, redo it from Settings → Swing Calibration → Recalibrate.
If distance is still inconsistent, swing from the whole arm and follow through rather than flicking from the wrist. If swinging does not suit you, switch to slingshot (pull back on the screen and release) — the game itself plays exactly the same.
My aim drifts or won't settle
Aiming uses Heading by default, which means turning your body toward the target. Somewhere with magnetic interference, or if you want to play sitting still, switch to Tilt under Settings → Aim.
To keep Heading but calm it down, lower Settings → Aim sensitivity. The lower it is, the further you have to turn before the aim moves.
Nearby matches can't find the other phone
Check these three things.
1. Both phones are on the same Wi-Fi network, or both have Bluetooth on.
2. Both phones allowed the Local Network permission shown the first time (Settings app → Skittle 50 → Local Network).
3. One phone chose Create Room and the other chose Find Room.
This mode connects the two phones directly and uses no server of ours. To play someone further away, use Online (Game Center) instead.
I can't sign in to Game Center
The sign-in prompt comes from iOS and the app cannot control it. Check your sign-in status under Settings app → Game Center.
You can play the whole game without signing in. The only things that need it are leaderboard records and matches played over the internet.
My record isn't showing on the leaderboard
Only Solo games that land on exactly 50 are submitted, and what is submitted is the number of throws. Results from CPU, two-player, and online matches are not ranked.
A record is sent when you beat your personal best. If the submission fails, the app retries the next time it can reach Game Center.
How do I delete my records and items?
Delete the app. Your best record, settings, and locker contents are stored only on the device, so they go with it — there is no deletion request to send us.
The one exception is leaderboard records submitted to Game Center, which are held by Apple. Remove those from Game Center in the iOS Settings app.
Does my data transfer to a new phone?
No. Records and items are stored on the device only, with no iCloud sync. Game Center leaderboard records do carry over, as long as you use the same Apple Account.
Playing safely
This game involves physically swinging your phone. Make sure there are no people or objects around you, and use a strap or a case with grip so it can't slip out of your hand. A compact throwing motion is enough — you do not need to swing hard.
Requirements
iPhone running iOS 17 or later, in English or Japanese. The app is free, with no in-app purchases and no ads.
Nearby matches need Wi-Fi or Bluetooth. Internet matches and leaderboards need you to be signed in to Game Center.
Get in touch
If none of the above helps, send an email. Including your iPhone model and iOS version, plus what you were doing when the problem happened, makes it much easier to track down.
This is a one-person project, so a reply may take a few days.
