Privacy Policy
This policy explains how the iOS app Skittle 50 (“the app”) handles information. What follows is a description of how the app is actually built.
1. Information that stays on your device
The app works with the following information. All of it is processed and stored on your device and never transmitted.
- Motion (accelerometer and gyroscope)
- Used to measure how hard you swing and where you are aiming. It is consumed as it arrives — nothing is recorded or sent.
- Swing calibration
- Swing strength varies between people, so the app measures yours once and stores the result on the device.
- Best record, settings, and locker contents
- Your fewest-throws record, preferences such as aiming mode, and the cosmetic items you have unlocked are stored on the device. Nothing is synced to iCloud.
These are kept in the standard iOS storage area (UserDefaults), which neither the developer nor any third party can read.
2. When information leaves your device
There are exactly two situations where this happens.
Nearby online matches
The app connects directly to another phone within Wi-Fi or Bluetooth range (iOS MultipeerConnectivity). What travels between the two devices is limited to what the match needs: the positions of the pins and baton, and the score. There is no server on our side; the connection is between the two phones only. iOS asks for Local Network permission the first time you use this feature.
Rankings and internet matches (Game Center)
When you reach exactly 50 in Solo, the number of throws it took is submitted to an Apple Game Center leaderboard. Game Center also handles matchmaking, invitations, and relaying data for matches played over the internet.
Apple controls this information, and its handling is governed by the Apple Privacy Policy and the Game Center terms. All we receive back is the rank and throw count shown on the leaderboard. You can play every game mode without signing in to Game Center — only rankings and internet matches require it.
3. What the app does not use
- Accounts or sign-in
- Advertising and advertising SDKs
- Analytics or behaviour-tracking tools
- Location
- Contacts, photos, microphone, or camera
- Cookies or similar tracking technology (neither in the app nor on this website)
- In-app purchases
On the App Store privacy label, the app falls under “Data Not Collected”.
4. Sharing with third parties
Since nothing is collected, there is no personal data to share. If we received a lawful request for disclosure, we would hold no information capable of being disclosed.
5. Children
The app is suitable for all ages. Because no personal data is collected, no information requiring parental consent is gathered.
6. Retention and deletion
Records, settings, and items stored on your device are removed entirely when you delete the app. You do not need to send us a deletion request.
Leaderboard records submitted to Game Center are held by Apple. To remove those, use Game Center in the iOS Settings app.
7. Changes to this policy
If the app changes in a way that affects the information it handles, this page will be updated and the date below revised. Significant changes will also be noted in the app's release notes.
